Henry Bagnall is training and competing with the aim of qualifying for a place in the 2012 or 2016 Olympics. Henry sails a Finn dinghy which is the men’s heavyweight single-handed Olympic dinghy class. Henry has sailed the Finn for 3 years whilst at University achieving notable success including 2nd Junior in the 2006 World Championships and 1st at the 2007 French National Championships. Currently he is ranked 4th in RYA National Rankings. Having completed his studies in July 2008 & attained his degree in Yacht Manufacture & Surveying to support himself Henry sailed professionally through the summer. Since then he has worked as a licensed security guard 3 nights per week to support himself and to enable him to train by day. |
